I like the ability to use my raspberry pi to control my spike motors and sensors. Configuration was a bit of a hassle without knowing python or raspberry pi and relying on AI to walk me through it but now I'm getting the hang of it kind of. I've got everything talking by cable connection at leàst and getting closer to Bluetooth connection. The flat surface was the perfect place to mount my camera. I figured out that I can power it up with 7.2V RC car batteries as well so I really like it and can't wait for my next hat purchase

Spend the extra money if you can

Obviously no contest compared to a prior, 4GB Model 4B. But the extra performance is an improvement. It went from something I tolerated for the sake of learning to hardware I was willing to use daily.

Easy to assemble, works great

Really easy to assemble, even without instructions. Spacers fit perfectly and other than a jewelers Philips head, everything else fits perfectly without tools. The cutout on the hat is a bit narrow. Ribbon cables for the camera will get tweaked unless you purchase a narrower one, and even that’s pretty tight. Small compromised, but overall experience has been great.

Arrived well packaged and the included heat sink is a plus.
